Draft. Not in force.
This document is a draft. It is not legal advice and it is not in force. It becomes required only when the owner adopts it by a recorded decision in nexus-governance. Until then nothing here blocks anyone’s work.
Authorship criteria
An author made a substantial contribution to the conception, design, data, analysis or writing; helped draft or revise the work; approved the final version; and accepts accountability for it. Others who contributed are acknowledged by name, with consent.
Agreement of all authors
Every listed author has seen the work, agreed to be listed and agreed to the Contributor Agreement terms. The corresponding author acts on their behalf and holds their consent on record.
CRediT roles
Each author’s contribution is stated with the 14 CRediT roles: conceptualization, data curation, formal analysis, funding acquisition, investigation, methodology, project administration, resources, software, supervision, validation, visualisation, writing original draft, writing review and editing. The roles are published with the work. ORCID identifiers are given where authors have them.
Order and equal contribution
The order of authors is the authors’ decision. Equal contribution is stated where it applies.
Changes
Adding, removing or reordering authors after submission needs the written agreement of all authors, including the one removed, and the editor’s approval with a reason. The change is recorded.
Organisations and groups
A group or organisation may be credited as author with a named person accountable.
Record
My acceptance is recorded in the acceptance ledger. It is an acceptance record by my signed-in account, not a qualified electronic signature.
Governing law (proposal)
The laws of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein. Counsel to confirm.
