Built on Nexus Standards

Names, identifiers, indicators, hazards, construction, evidence, metadata, citation, maps and licensing all follow Nexus Standards, so every value can be found, cited, recomputed and corrected.

Names on every page

Names follow the Nexus Standards public names register and naming conventions, so they avoid conflicts with other marks and resolve to their definitions.

NXS-GRX-<REGION>, for example NXS-GRX-KEN; region codes are ISO 3166-1 alpha-3 or UN M49 (M002)
Retired names
Retired terms of the public names register never appear on a page; the build refuses them and rewrites them in data carried from sources.
First mention
The first mention of each name on a page links to its definition; a system carries its descriptor.

On first mention on a page a system carries its descriptor, e.g. "NXS-STU (composition, dashboards and workflows)", and links to its definition; later mentions use the short name.

PN-3

A component is NXS-<SCOPE> <Descriptor>

A component is NXS-<SCOPE> <Descriptor>; a component built on a third-party project carries its credit wording and never the project name as its own.

A context is named by extension, NXS-<SCOPE>[-<DOMAIN>][-<SECTOR>][-<REGION>][-<ENV>] (NS-1, NS-9), and resolves to its contextual UNI; a display name never carries a category or serial.

PN-6

A retired term with match exact never appears on a public page

A retired term with match exact never appears on a public page; one with match contextual is replaced where it names the thing in this register and kept where it means something else (the note says which).

PN-7

12 Nexus Risk Standards applied

Of 348 Nexus Risk Standards in 15 series, these govern how the index is built, evidenced, communicated and licensed.

04Identifiers

Universal Nexus Identifiers

Every artifact the index publishes is catalogued with a UNI; no UNI is typed by hand.

Grammar
NXS-<SCOPE>-<CAT>[-<DOMAIN>][-<SECTOR>][-<REGION>][-<ENV>]-<SERIAL>[@<VERSION>]
URN
urn:nexus:uni:{uni}
Resolver
https://nexustandards.com/uni/{uni}
Allocation
UNIs are allocated by the Nexus Standards catalogue (NS1-R2), never typed by hand.
Versions
A record version is cited as recordUni@recordVersion, for example NXS-GRX-OB-KEN-000042@3.
On pages
Every page carries its UNI in <meta name="nexus-uni">, in data-nexus-uni on the page root and in its citation, with its context name in data-nexus-context. Records are DRAFT in this index's artifact catalogue until release.

05Metadata

Metadata, citation and maps

Datasets

STAC 1.1 items whose id is the UNI, DCAT 3 records with the URN and DOI, and PROV-O bundles for lineage (NS-3b).

Citations

Every citation carries the UNI; derived works cite their source UNIs; CFF 1.2 and DataCite 4.5 forms (NS-2).

Maps and figures

UNI in metadata and caption, values traced to record UNIs, explicit no-data and degraded states, withheld features counted (NS-5).

API

Responses carry X-Nexus-UNI; the OpenAPI contract names every surface (NS-6).

06Status

Status and conformance

Nexus Standards are a preparatory working draft (status PROPOSED); NXS-GRX follows them as designed and does not claim conformance before NS-14 assessment.
