Draft. Not in force.
This document is a draft. It is not legal advice and it is not in force. It becomes required only when the owner adopts it by a recorded decision in nexus-governance. Until then nothing here blocks anyone’s work.
Statement
Editorial decisions in Reports and IJRG are independent of funders, sponsors, members, networks and the publisher’s commercial interests. The editorial board decides in governance. Decisions are public with reasons.
Funding of the publication
Reports are free to read and free to publish in. No author or reader pays. Costs are met from the publisher’s resources and from sponsorship. The owner publishes the funders and sponsors of the publication each year. Where none is yet recorded, the page says none is recorded.
Sponsorship rules
- Sponsorship is the only form of support. There are no donations in any form.
- A sponsor does not see, select, shape or influence any submission, review, decision, edition or topic, and gets no advance access.
- Sponsor staff do not sit on the Reports Council.
- Sponsorship is acknowledged without implying endorsement of findings.
- Funding tied to a condition on content is declined.
Funding of individual work
Authors declare funders and the role of funders in the work. The declaration is published with the work.
What I declare
I confirm that I will not accept or act on pressure from a funder or sponsor on a decision. I disclose any funding or relationship that could look like influence, using the Conflict-of-Interest Declaration.
Record
My acceptance is recorded in the acceptance ledger. It is an acceptance record by my signed-in account, not a qualified electronic signature.
Governing law (proposal)
The laws of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein. Counsel to confirm.
