Contribute to Index Measurement

Reports has six desks. Start with the table below: what you have decides the desk that takes it. Index Measurement takes index results by country and ADM level, data releases, method changes, coverage and gaps. Anything sent to the wrong desk is forwarded, not refused.

02Remit

What Index Measurement takes.

Measurement: the index results by country and ADM level, the data releases they come from, method changes, coverage and the gaps in the data. No index value is published until an edition is released from a governed evidence cut.

04Cycle

The cycle dates.

The order is fixed; the dates are set by the editor and appear here when they are set. Material received before a desk’s contribution close is reviewed for that cycle.

The Collection is released only after every desk edition in it is released. A desk that does not release in a cycle is listed as not in this cycle, never filled in by another desk.

05Review

How a contribution is handled.

  1. ReceivedGW-GRXLogged with a ledger entry and acknowledged; the form records the desk it was routed from, if any.
  2. ScreenedGRX desk editorRights, licence, personal data, safety and scope checked; material for another desk is forwarded with its history.
  3. ReviewedSteward keyTruth (T), meaning (M) or finance (F), or the desk’s own reading.

What you receive.

Material that is usedNamed credit in the edition with your CRediT role and, with your ORCID iD, an entry DataCite can add to your ORCID record
An affiliationYour organisation named by its ROR identifier

07Licence

Rights, in one rule.

Nexus-authored text, tables and figures are published under CC BY 4.0, and data under CC0 1.0. Your contribution is used under these terms where you hold the rights and grant them; third-party material keeps its own licence and is credited.

08Routes

Three routes, one review.

Use the form on this page, deposit on Zenodo and submit to the nexus-reports-grx community, or point to a release in a public repository. Every route reaches the same review.

  1. The form on this page: saved in WordPress, then forwarded to the review inbox with a reference. If another desk sent you here, say which in the form, so the forward keeps its history.
  2. Zenodo: publish your own record with your ORCID iD, then submit it to the nexus-reports-grx community; the DOI stays yours. How the Zenodo route works
  3. A repository: point to a tagged release on GitHub, GitLab or Software Heritage in the form or the Zenodo record; the exact version is cited.

Write a contribution the editor can act on.

Say what it is, where its record is kept and on which licence. It arrives tagged with this page, its area and its gateway, so it reaches the editor who owns it.

Reports is the Consortium’s quarterly publication, written by six desks. This page sits with the Index Measurement desk. What you know about this subject can become evidence, a case or a correction in the next edition, credited to you and published under CC BY 4.0 where it is your own work. Sent to the wrong desk, it is forwarded, not refused.

Bring what you know to the next edition.

Every quarter closes on a sealed evidence cut. Contributions received before the cut are reviewed for that edition; later ones wait for the next.
