Draft. Not in force.
This document is a draft. It is not legal advice and it is not in force. It becomes required only when the owner adopts it by a recorded decision in nexus-governance. Until then nothing here blocks anyone’s work.
Corrections
A correction is a new version of the same identifier with a notice. Published content is never edited in place. In Zenodo a correction is a new version of the concept record that carries IsNewVersionOf and a note. The corrections log is public.
Types
Minor (typo, link), substantive (a figure, number or claim), and authorship or conflict corrections.
Expressions of concern
The board may publish an expression of concern while a matter is investigated.
Retractions
Retraction follows COPE guidance and is a board decision. The text stays readable with a retraction marker and the reason. A retracted record is not removed. Withdrawal from Zenodo leaves a tombstone.
Appeals
An author may appeal a decision within 30 days on process error, undeclared conflict or misread evidence. A panel of Council members with no earlier involvement decides within 30 days and publishes reasons. Appeals of sanctions follow the Code of Conduct.
Timelines
Acknowledge a report of error in 2 days. Triage in 10. Publish a correction or a reasoned refusal within 28.
Takedown
Takedown requests follow the Takedown and Dispute Procedure.
Governing law (proposal)
The laws of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein. Counsel to confirm.
